rock against communism
what it is
Rock Against Communism (RAC) began in late-1970s Britain as a series of far-right concerts organized by activists linked to the National Front, created largely in reaction to the anti-racist Rock Against Racism movement. Although the name suggests a focus on anti-communism, RAC quickly became associated with white-power and neo-Nazi themes, especially after bands like Skrewdriver popularized the scene in the early 1980s. Over time, “RAC” came to describe a music genre rather than a specific concert series—typically punk- or oi!
