who she is
Margo XS is Margo Wildman, a producer from Michigan who has been working professionally since 2021. She learned guitar at seven, started making tracks in GarageBand as a teenager, and found her scene in Montreal's queer rave world while she was at school there.
She co-produced nine of the ten songs on Zara Larsson's Midnight Sun (2025) and nine of the thirteen on Kim Petras' Detour (2026). Her production on "Midnight Sun" was nominated for a Grammy in 2026 for best dance pop recording.
She came up in noise and industrial music, and calls what she does now pop music as noise music. Her method is space instead of stacking: let one bass, synth, or drum take up the whole frequency range and sit there on its own, rather than layering parts that fight each other.
She makes her own music as half of deBasement, the electropunk duo she started in 2024 with Alli Logout of Special Interest.

in her own words
“Allow a bass, synth or drum to take up the entire frequency spectrum and let it exist individually in that moment.”
“I would really love a song that goes up the charts where people are like, I did not know something this weird can be this catchy.”
